What is Cardano?
Cardano, also known as ADA, is simply a cryptocurrency. You can compare the digital currency with cryptocurrencies that are better known such as Bitcoin.
Cardano has gone further where bitcoin and etherium could go no further. You can therefore also say that Cardano has put the best features of different crypto together.
Cardano is an open source blockchain project that has been developed in layers to run financial applications that can be used by companies, consumers and governments worldwide. ADA is the currency token of the blockchain.
The ultimate goal is to offer Cardano a full-fledged blockchain platform that combines the functionalities of legal and financial ecosystems for payments, identities, rights and credits in a safe and fair way.
Cardano thinks security is very important and wants to be the most secure crypto platform in the world. To achieve this they have used the programming language Haskell which is one of the most secure programming languages.
In addition, they use the proof of stake algorithm. This means that cryptocurrencies don't have to be mined like Bitcoin, for example, but holding the coin in your wallet ensures that more Cardano is generated. This is called strike.
